iOS 16 is months away from an official release, but there are new features that are discovered by users testing it. The latest feature can benefit many of us here in India when it comes to conversion metrics in our iPhones. Recently discovered in a tweet by the editor-in-chief of MacStories, which shows that Apple’s first-party apps can detect text and provide options for converting data. This includes temperatures, time zones, and other unit-of-measure conversions as well. While the tweet does not indicate that the feature is region-specific, there is a possibility that it will be available for all regions.
As seen in the screenshot, the feature works similarly to how the date and time are captured in a text message. While previously you could create a calendar invite with the given time, this requires us to manually update the details according to our respective time zones. The feature currently works in Apple’s Notes, iMessageMail and Calendar apps.
Great new iOS 16 feature: built-in unit conversion everywhere, including Messages. This supports temperatures, currencies and more. Finally, I no longer need to explain to my American friends what Celsius temperatures mean 🇪🇺 pic.twitter.com/VWkK19U4pyJune 16, 2022

The feature can be activated by selecting the highlighted text. For example, if someone sends you a text message with the meeting time with the mentioned time zone. You can press and hold the underlined text and options are provided to directly convert it to the current timezone. While the screenshot shows that the new feature allows you to preview the conversion, it’s unclear whether creating a new calendar event will also convert the time zone.
Available in all apps?
While the feature has been suggested to work with Apple’s own apps, it’s unclear whether this is a system-wide feature that will work with third-party apps. We are optimistic that it will be essential for Apple to support the feature in some of the most popular apps used by everyone on iOS. Like WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook Messenger.
The new feature is especially useful for those who are connected with friends, family and customers based in different countries. This would bridge the communication gap between people who want to share information instantly. The sender and recipient of the information no longer need to convert the units and then post their message.
iOS 16 was unveiled during WWDC and brings a lot of visual changes to mobile operating systems. O update is scheduled to be released to all users by the month of September this year.
Realme, just before updating its Narzo 50 series, launched the Realme C30 in the Indian market. On the front, the smartphone has a screen with a waterdrop notch, a thick chin and thin bezels. The smartphone’s back panel looks like a cheap replica of the OnePlus 10R.
The smartphone has a single camera on the back contained in a rectangular camera module with flash. This one from Realme also has flat edges.
When it comes to pricing, the 2GB RAM variant of the Realme C30 along with 32GB internal storage is available for Rs 7,499. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM variant of the device along with 32GB of internal storage can be had for Rs 8,299. The first sale of both variants is scheduled for June 27th. It is being shipped in two color options – Lake Blue and Bamboo Green.
Realme C30 Specifications and Features
The Realme C30 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a vibrant display. The smartphone runs on the Unisoc T612 processor and runs on the REalme Go Edition operating system based on the Android 11 operating system. However, if you have some extraordinary expectations of the device in terms of performance, you will be disappointed.
The base variant of the smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, the smartphone’s storage is fully expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card and has a dedicated card slot.
In terms of topics, the device doesn’t have much to offer. It sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The handset draws power from a 5,000mAh battery along with 10W charging support. It also offers a 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity. In our opinion, the smartphone will be able to attract consumers due to its unique design and affordability.
Upcoming phone releases in India for June 2022: Specs, release date and price
Intel’s Arc A380 desktop graphics card was spotted on sale in China, in an odd situation – made all the more notable by the sky-high price tag.
As VideoCardz (opens in new tab) reports, JD.com, a major retailer in China – which is the only country where Intel has released the Arc Alchemist desktop lineup so far – has listed a Gunnir A380 Photon graphics card, but the price is ridiculous: 3999 yuan (about of $600 / £490 / AU$850).
Remember that the Intel Recommended Price (MSRP) for the A380 in China is pegged to a quarter of that asking price, so it’s pretty much an astronomical premium here (more than the high levels Nvidia’s current GPUs reached at the height of last year’s graphics card inventory crisis, where prices were triple the MSRP briefly).
Please note that the A380 graphics card in question is currently out of stock, as well as being present only in the Chinese market.
Analysis: Placeholder pricing – or cashing in on upfront interest?
Why the extremely inflated prices? Well, as you can see, the Intel Arc A380 shouldn’t be on sale independently yet – JD.com should only sell pre-built PCs with the A380 inside (and the same is true for all resellers). So flogging a separate boxed copy of the graphics card seems to be breaking the rules anyway.
What could be happening here is that the price could simply be a placeholder – it’s unclear if the card was briefly on sale, then went out of stock, or is simply not in stock yet – or the retailer may have raised the price to profit from what it perceives to be the likely initial demand for the Arc A380.
In other words, JD.com might be thinking it can get away with charging for the novelty of being able to buy the first Intel Arc desktop GPU (at this asking price, you’d even wonder if maybe this will release as a collector’s item, maybe a piece of graphics card history).
Whatever the case, the price makes absolutely no sense given the kind of entry-level performance the A380 offers, and it could be readjusted when the Gunnir A380 is actually in stock. There’s no way to compare the asking price with any other retailer in China, of course, because no stock of the A380 is available elsewhere.
For now, this remains an anomaly, although it’s very interesting to see that a standalone Arc graphics card could be available for purchase – presumably – on a very short notice. From what Intel has officially said, we only expected Arc desktop GPUs to be present in OEM PCs in June.
That’s all for the Chinese market, of course, and global availability won’t start until a little later – maybe late July if we’re lucky, but possibly more like August, and again, Arc desktop products will only be on sale. Pre-built PCs to begin with (or so we’re told).
Nvidia’s next-gen flagship RTX 4090 might have surprising power usage, at least according to the latest rumor – but there’s more to it than meets the eye (as well as some better news further down on the RTX 4000 will vary).
This all comes from a well-established hardware leaker on Twitter, Kopite7kimi, who outlined some alleged power details for Nvidia’s Lovelace chips, from AD102 (the flagship) on down (as seen by VideoCardz (opens in new tab)).
A truth. Power limits: AD102, 800W; AD103 (DT), 450W, AD103 (mobile), 175W; AD104 (DT), 400W, AD104 (mobile), 175W; AD106 (DT), 260W, AD106 (mobile), 140W. But I don’t think we need to use the full power cap.June 18, 2022
View more
The theory, then, is that the AD102 GPU will have a ‘power cap’ of 800W, which sounds seriously heavy and worrying (and goes back to the earlier days of speculation that Lovelace will be too power-hungry).
However, what we must keep in mind here is that this power cap refers to the maximum possible power for the GPU, and in reality the rated TDP will be considerably lower than for baseline graphics cards. We’ll come back to discuss more about what this means in a moment.
The best news is that while the AD102 is up there at 800W, Nvidia is reportedly going a long way with the GPU that is supposedly the engine of the RTX 4080, with the AD103 sitting at 450W (again, that’s the maximum possible power). The AD104 is then fixed at 400W and the AD106 at 260W.
Kopite7kimi also mentions mobile GPUs, with the mobile AD103 and AD104 chips apparently set to run with a ceiling of 175W, and with the AD106 mobile we are theoretically looking at 140W.
Analysis: Putting things in perspective in terms of power
Okay, so before we get too worried about the massive 800W figure on the AD102 chip, let’s remember that this is just a rumor, and we’ve seen a lot of speculation about where Lovelace’s power usage might end up. But other than that, that doesn’t necessarily mean the RTX 4090 – which is supposedly the first graphics card Nvidia will release with the next generation of the Lovelace family – will be a power-hungry monster.
As noted above, 800W refers to the maximum possible power for the GPU, and the rated TDP will be lower than that, with only more advanced 3rd party graphics cards speeding things up much faster with clock speeds (and robust cooling) getting close to that ceiling (also leaving room for overclocking too).
The other key point with the AD102 is that the RTX 4090 will have a scaled-down version of the GPU, with rumors believing it will run on 16,384 CUDA cores (the maximum for the chip is 18,432). There will be other models, probably an RTX 4090 Ti, and we might even see an RTX Titan for Lovelace above that – and perhaps only the Titan will strive to fully exploit that maximum power cap.
When you allow for these two factors, the RTX 4090 will likely go a little lower in terms of actual power usage, and it will be the fat-packed AD102 models – and the faster high-end cards, for that matter – that will increase its consumption. to get closer to that 800W mark (if indeed this is correct in the first place).
So don’t start worrying about the RTX 4090 on the power front just yet – the GPU could easily line up with some of the other recent rumors we’ve heard, like 600W for the TDP, although speculation around 450W TDP seems shakier in this new light (these TDPs are also claims by Kopite7kimi, in fact, and RedGamingTech on YouTube in the latter case).
Another interesting point to note here is that the maximum power drops to 450W for the RTX 4080. Very recently, Kopite7kimi said that the 4080 could nestle around 420W for its TDP, but this new information offers a tentative suggestion that it it might be a little lower than that (previous rumors had us predicting around 400W). And that would be better news for a much larger number of gamers who will want to buy an RTX 4080, compared to the niche RTX 4090 with its arguably exorbitant price tag.
To sum it up, we’re not going to get carried away by any concerns regarding potential power demands just yet, although the possibility of necessary PSU upgrades – and indeed better cooling solutions to keep the inside of the PC at a reasonable temperature – clearly remains. being a concern for those looking for a next-gen Lovelace GPU.
In the latest chapter of India’s ongoing battle against online privacy software, government officials are now barred from using third-party VPN services.
The new directive comes after some of the best VPNs decided to shut down their Indian servers amid privacy concerns over the new data law. So far, ExpressVPN, Surfshark and NordVPN have announced that they will physically leave the country before the CERT-in directives take effect on June 27.
The Indian government is also urging employees to refrain from storing insider or confidential information on non-governmental cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox. Using external scanners based on mobile apps like CamScanner – which was actually banned in 2020 – is also strongly discouraged.
“By following uniform cybersecurity guidelines in government offices across the country, the government’s security posture can be improved,” the National Center for Informatics (NIC) wrote in an internal document. reviewed by The Economic Times.
“All government employees, including temporary, contractual/outsourced resources, must strictly adhere to the guidelines mentioned in this document. Any non-compliance can be addressed by the respective CISOs/Department Heads,” the new directive adds.

Why are VPNs leaving India?
Cybersecurity experts and privacy advocates have been raising many concerns about India’s new data law since it was announced on April 28.
Due to take effect on June 27, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) will force VPN and VPS providers, data centers, cloud storage services and cryptocurrency exchanges to keep confidential user data in storage for up to five years and share them with authorities upon request.
While the new law comes as an attempt to curb a growing rate of cybercrime – India was the third most affected country by data breaches worldwide in 2021 – VPN providers believe these regulations go against the actual infrastructure of the VPN. security software.
Short for virtual private network, a VPN is software designed to protect people’s online privacy and anonymity. As? Masking your real IP address and protecting all data in transit within an encrypted tunnel.
That’s why ExpressVPN wrote in a blog post (opens in new tab) that the new CERT-In directives are “incompatible with the purpose of VPNs”.

Additionally, a strict no-logs policy is a standard feature among most private VPN services. This ensures that none of users’ sensitive data can be stored, leaked or shared.
As Hide.me explained when announcing its decision to shut down its Indian servers, India’s new data retention law “makes it impossible to operate a zero-log VPN”.
Despite the backlash, Indian authorities appear to remain steadfast in their decision to continue and implement the new guidelines at the end of the month. On this point, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated that providers who do not wish to comply with the rules are “free to leave india (opens in new tab)”.
At the same time, Nord Security’s head of public relations Laura Tyrell told us, “One way or another, this will have a negative impact on people’s privacy and digital security.”
Telegram announced the premium tier which comes with a fee of $4.99 or Rs. 469 a month, but it offers a number of intuitive features.
The latest app update was released on app store (opens in new tab) for Apple devices, and while it offers most features for free, there are some additional features that require users to pay a subscription fee.
The premium tier and its features are not available for Android as of now – so the same is missing from the Play Store. But we hope it comes to the Android side of the world soon.
What does Telegram Premium offer?
A lot, if you’re a user. For starters, the premium tier comes with the option to organize chats better. Users will be able to pin up to 10 chats to the main list, join up to 1,000 channels, and connect up to 4 accounts. Users will also have the option to organize their chats into up to 20 folders, each with up to 200 chats.
The premium tier also increases the maximum file transfer size and allows users to transfer files up to 4GB in size compared to the previously available 2GB.
In case the recipient of this large file is on Telegram Premium, he will be able to download it faster as the premium tier does not limit the download speed of media and attached files. While it means that not only can you share large files, but people will also be able to download them instantly.
Premium subscribers will not be subject to advertisements on public channels and will also have access to exclusive animated reactions and premium stickers that will be updated regularly.
Users will be able to save 400 GIFs and 10 favorite stickers. There will be an option to add a longer bio in case you want to share more about your likes, preferences and more. In addition to other addons, the premium tier will also add a premium badge to the profile – similar to what Elon Musk is suggesting for Twitter Blue.
The free version continues to receive new features
That said, in case you think you can still live with the basic version that shows ads and has slightly less benefits, you can still do so. The basic version remains free and will continue to receive new features.
However, Telegram has been offering its services for free for a long time and is among the few worthy WhatsApp alternatives.
Adding new features and managing the huge database of users, however, requires a lot of money and that is what Telegram is trying to raise money for directly from its users. However, it remains to be seen whether users are allowed to pay for these additional benefits and help keep the ship afloat.

Best smartwatches under Rs 3,000 in India for 2022
We’re counting down the days to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and a few new leaks give us a better idea of what color variations to expect, as well as pointing to a launch in the not-too-distant future.
First, well-known informant Evan Blass (opens in new tab) shared a code that apparently reveals the color options the Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in: it looks like we have Silver, Sapphire and Graphite for the standard version and Silver, Sapphire and Pink Gold for the smaller model.
Moving on to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, if this leak is accurate, the two color choices will be Titanium Black and Titanium Gray. Previous rumors pointed to more premium materials for the more premium version of the smartwatch.
regulatory approval
In addition to color options, SamMobile (opens in new tab) detected the LTE variations of the Galaxy Watch 5 going through the registration process with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulators in the US, suggesting that a launch could happen very soon.
While there’s been nothing official from Samsung about these smartwatches so far, considering the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic were revealed in August 2021, it’s a pretty safe bet that the new models will appear in August 2022 – possibly next to some folding phones.
If that’s the case, you can expect a few more leaks to surface in the next month and a half as Samsung sorts itself out. As always, we’ll be here to bring you the official announcements about these new products when they’re made.
Analysis: What will we see in August?
Nothing is official or confirmed yet, but there have been leaks and rumors aplenty when it comes to what we can expect from Samsung’s new smartwatches. There have also been rumors that there may be a third super premium model on the way, based on leaked codenames.
For now, we’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy Watch to keep the same name while the Samsung Galaxy Watch Classic becomes the Samsung Galaxy Watch Pro – as it’s a larger, more luxurious option, the change in branding makes sense.
When it comes to real improvements over last year’s models, the rumor is that the 2022 smartwatches will charge a lot faster, at the very least – that would be a welcome improvement over current models, even if there isn’t a huge leap forward. in terms of actual battery life.
However, it’s not all good news, as the Classic/Pro model is rumored to ditch the rotating bezel this time around, which we wouldn’t want to see. It gives users a different and very intuitive way to access on-screen menus and features, so we hope it will be included in at least some of the new devices.
We’ve heard numerous claims about which flagship phones we may and may not see on OnePlus this year, with conversations mostly referring to a standard OnePlus 10 and a OnePlus 10 Ultra. But now it looks like we might not see any of them, with a OnePlus 10T coming out.
This phone so far seems positioned as a slightly inferior high-end handset to the OnePlus 10 Pro, so it could end up being the OnePlus 10 in all but name. However, leaks suggest it has the Pro in at least one area – that being the loading speed, and there’s a possibility it also has a better chipset.
Below, we’ve detailed everything we’ve heard about the OnePlus 10T so far, and we’ll update this article once we know more about it.
Cut to the chase
What is it? The next next-gen OnePlus phone
When do you leave? Probably later this year
How much will it cost? Possibly a little less than the OnePlus 10 Pro
OnePlus 10T release date and price
The only real release date rumor so far points to the OnePlus 10T landing in July, although that seems early for a Model T and fairly close to the OnePlus 10 Pro launch, so we think August or September is more likely.
There’s no news on how much this phone might cost, but the same source claims it’s positioned between the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10R, which would mean a slightly lower price than the Pro. For reference, this phone starts at $899 / £799 (approximately AU$1,400).
While there’s some uncertainty about where the 10T actually sits in the line, with some evidence that it could have better specs than the OnePlus 10 Pro – and possibly be the OnePlus 10 Ultra in all but name. In that case it could have an even higher price.
The OnePlus 10 Pro may remain the company’s most expensive phone (Image credit: Future)
Name OnePlus 10T
The OnePlus 10T is a bit of an odd naming choice, as typically the ‘T’ versions are updated versions of the standard numbered versions of OnePlus phones. So there really shouldn’t be a OnePlus 10T without a OnePlus 10.
But by the same logic, there shouldn’t be a OnePlus 10 Pro without a OnePlus 10, and yet here we are.
Still, there’s a chance that OnePlus will actually release it as the OnePlus 10 – something one source has hinted at, saying he’s not sure if it will be called the 10T or 10.
But the latest leaks only speak of a OnePlus 10T, with talk of all 10 having died and leaking Max Jambor (opens in new tab) specifically said that the OnePlus 10T 5G is the “final name of the next and only flagship phone coming from OnePlus this year”.
There’s some vague logic in calling this the 10T too, as it’s likely to arrive a little later than the OnePlus 10 Pro, so marking it as not a direct part of that lineup might make sense – and if it lands during the typical Tempo T (in the end of the year) and adding a T to the name makes sense on that front.
OnePlus 10T design and display
A major OnePlus 10T leak revealed a lot of spec details and also included images, giving us a look at the phone’s possible design.
You can see one of these images below, complete with a massive camera block that spans the entire width of the back – although it only houses lenses in the left two-thirds, while the front has a flat screen with rather thin bezels and a camera hole. .
You can also see the power and volume buttons on the right edge, but there’s no alert slider. It’s worth noting, though, that these images are apparently based on early prototype units of the phone, so they may not be exactly correct.
The same source also revealed that the OnePlus 10T apparently has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. These exact screen specs were also listed by another leaker. That second leaker thought this phone would launch as the OnePlus 10, but they’re clearly talking about the same handset.
Based on all of this, the design and display appears to be a little lower than the OnePlus 10 Pro as it has a curved QHD+ display and possibly slightly smaller bezels.
OnePlus 10T camera and battery
According to a leak, the OnePlus 10T has a triple-lens camera on the back, consisting of a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 16MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP macro. Apparently, it can also record video in up to 4K quality at up to 60fps. Meanwhile, the front is said to house a 32MP camera capable of recording in 1080p at 30fps.
This same camera spec list has already been released by another source, so there’s a good chance it’s accurate.
That said, a third source pointed to slightly different camera specs, saying to expect a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor along with 8MP and 2MP secondary ones and a 16MP camera on the front.
As for the battery, the same three sources said it has a 4,800mAh battery with 150W charging. That’s an incredible amount of charging power and would have the OnePlus 10 Pro beaten – although the battery size is smaller here, and the 10T also apparently lacks wireless charging.
OnePlus 10T Specifications and Features
There is little uncertainty in terms of which chipset the OnePlus 10 Pro will use, with sources suggesting it could use either the Dimensity 9000 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
Both are high-end chipsets, the latter being even better than the one in the OnePlus 10 Pro (or pretty much any other Android phone).
It’s this latter chipset that also seems more likely, with one source saying OnePlus has decided to switch from Dimensity to Snapdragon and leaker @yabhishhekhd specifically tweet (opens in new tab) which will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. A third source also pointed to this chipset.
Additionally, we’ve heard that the OnePlus 10T may come with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage options, plus Android 12 overlayed on top of OxygenOS 12.
There’s also talk of an under-screen fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers – neither of which would be surprising.
Apple has finally released its 35W dual port Type-C power adapters and the good news is that they are also available in India. There have been previous reports that the company was working on such a charger. The charger is currently listed on Apple India’s online store for a retail price of Rs 5,800.
It is unclear whether chargers are currently available in retail stores or not. In terms of charger design, it looks like the 30W Type-C charger the company sells. It has a slight volume and glossy finish.
Speaking of specifications, the charger supports 100–240V /1.0A input. The USB PD output is 15W, 18W, 34.95W or 35W, which makes it compatible with a wide range of Apple products. In terms of compatibility, the charger can be used with some models of iPhones, iPads and MacBooks. Here is a list of all other products that are compatible with the new 35W Dual Type-C Power Adapter.
iPhone 8 and up
All 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models
10.5 inch iPad Pro model
iPad Air – 3rd, 4th and 5th generation
iPad – 7th, 8th and 9th generations
iPad Mini – 5th and 6th generation
When it comes to MacBooks, it already comes with more powerful power adapters. However, the new 35W chargers are compatible with MacBook Air models with a Retina display released in 2018 for the latest M2 processor models, along with 12-inch MacBooks with a Retina display released between 2015 and 2017.
All Apple Watch series and wireless headphones can be charged with the latest dual port Type-C charger. So if you’re still using a first-gen Apple Watch or AirPods, you’re in luck. If you upgrade your devices, you just saved some money.
What do I do with my 20W charger?
Now that Apple’s new charger has arrived, I’m confused about what to do with my 20W charger. While Apple removed the charger from its retail boxes to reduce the carbon footprint, then it forced people to use the 5W slow charger they already had.
In India, anyone upgrading their iPhones through third-party exchange programs would also need to send in their chargers. This would provide a greater exchange value for the product. In this scenario, users would have to get their own chargers. Again, this choice comes down to a 5W or 20W charger.
I am willing to buy a 35W charger for myself. It would help me charge my iPhone, AirPods Pro, Apple Watch and 9th Gen iPad. But what would I do with the 20W charger that could be gathering dust somewhere in my house? Should I keep it and get an extra cable? Or add it to the pile of junk Apple was trying to avoid?
